We have been involved in a variety of incredible festivals facilitating our creative and interactive workshops.
Connecting to nature through creative means is what we are all about and festivals offer a great opportunity to connect our services with a wider audience. They are also give us a chance to discover other like minded organisations within the wellbeing community.
Using nature as our instrument to create a nature orchestra continues to be a good interactive way to engage participants. With the use of some innovative technology, this enables us to facilitate an immersive experience accessible for all ages and abilities.
Some of the immersive technology we are able to use at festivals are;
(turning biological frequencies from plants into rhythm)
(using fruit, vegetables and plants as instruments)
(using water and/or our own bodies as instruments)
(listening to microscopic sounds such as insects/water etc.)
(enables everyone to immerse themselves in the experience)
Keeping with the theme of sound in nature, we have provided an alternative experience in sound bath meditations.
These meditations offer a chance to have a moment of calm in a unique space immersed in nature whilst you hear and feel the vibrations and frequencies of gongs, chimes and singing bowls.
Festivals are also perfect environments for our nature arts & crafts workshops. These can include foraging natural items to decorate a ‘journey stick’, collaborating on a nature collage, painting on wooden plinths and creating your own unique musical instrument. A variety of ages and abilities enjoy take home activities such as these because it offers a personal experience of creativity.
One of our favourite moments at Greenman Festival this year (2025) was exploring the Einsteins Garden area as we clipped the ‘Plantwave’ technology onto different species of trees. It was inspiring to share the moment we all listened to the slow rhythms of the older redwood tree compared to the upbeat and more rhythmic younger maple tree.
